Southern Dharma Celebration: How to Gain Actual Dharma Realizations with Kadam Morten

What is the Southern Dharma Celebration?

The Southern Dharma Celebration is an annual event of spiritual practitioners in the Southeast United States. Everyone is welcome!

This year, the Celebration is hosted by Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia and is available in-person and online. Click on the Banner above to be redirected to Kadampa Meditation Centers page for registration.

Who is Avalokiteshvara?

Avalokiteshvara is the Compassion Buddha, the embodiment of the universal compassion of all enlightened beings. By relying on Avalokiteshvara we naturally increase our own compassion. He usually appears as white in color with four arms. His first two hands pressed together at his heart symbolize respect for his Spiritual Guide, and hold a jewel symbolizing his own enlightenment. His second left hand holds a white lotus flower, symbolizing his complete purity of body, speech and mind; and his second right hand holds a crystal mala, symbolizing that he can free all living beings from samsara.

What are the Five Forces?

Empower your practice and remove obstacles in meditation by discovering the “Five Forces.” Sometimes referred to as the essence of Buddha’s teachings, these forces are practical keys that unlock our potential for successful practice and allow us to transform all our daily activities into spiritual growth.

Who will teach at the Southern Dharma Celebration?

This year, Kadam Morten Clausen, the New Kadampa Tradition Eastern U.S. National Spiritual Director, will be the main teacher for the Celebration. The Friday night introduction will be given by Gen Kelsang Norden, the Resident Teacher of KMC Georgia. The meditations will be led by Gen Kelsang Tilopa, the Resident Teacher of KMC North Carolina.
