About this event
Held at the beautiful and serene Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat. A Weekend of Powerful Meditations on Enhancing Loving Kindness.
The weekend will give us a chance to rest, reflect and bring the meaning of the Dharma on Loving Kindness into our hearts. This is a special opportunity to spend time quieting the mind, and deepening your meditation practice, free from everyday distractions.
“For someone whose main wish is to achieve the spiritual realizations of love, compassion, bodhichitta and great enlightenment, living beings are more precious than a universe filled with diamonds or even wish-granting jewels. Why is this? It is because living beings help that person to develop love and compassion and fulfill his or her wish for enlightenment, which is something that a whole universe filled with jewels could never do."
This retreat based on the profound yet simple meditations on 'Enhancing Cherishing Love from 'The New Eight Steps to Happiness' by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso will give us the opportunity to radically transform how we relate to others - to those we love and even to those we may not yet love. No prior meditation experience necessary.
