About this event
The first thing people notice when they walk into a Buddhist Center is the shrine, with its elaborate and colorful statues and paintings. They often ask about the meaning of the Buddhist symbols and images represented in the statues and paintings.
Bring your questions to this class! We will talk about the main statues, the life of who they depict, and the different symbolism used.
We will explain the relationship of the Buddhist practitioner to the shrine, why there are offerings placed on it, and how you can set up a sacred space in your home. Everyone Welcome
*It is recommended to attend this course in person. Please note that for Member Livestream visibility of the shrine will be limited.

When Seth walked into the storefront Kadampa Buddhist Center in Atlanta in 2006, he
just wanted to find stress relief. He’s been studying and practicing, the path to
enlightenment ever since. A retired electronics engineer, he recently moved from
Atlanta to Old Fort, NC where he lives with his partner Sue.
