Drop-in Series Wednesdays 7 – 8:15pm
Part I – January 8 – 22
Part II – Begins February 12 – March 18
Throughout history human beings have sought to improve their external situation, yet despite all our efforts we are no happier. Superficially it looks as if our world is improving but in many respects are lives are becoming much more complicated and dissatisfying. In this series based on Buddhist view we will explore how to find our happiness from a different source.
Part II begins the exploration of the Eight verses of Training the Mind composed by Geshe Langri Tangpa and eleventh century Buddhist Master, as presented in the text Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. These Eight verses although ancient show practically how we can transform our mind from its present confused and self-centered state into a state of perfect wisdom and compassion.
Each drop-in class includes guided meditation, a talk and time for Q & A. Everyone Welcome.
