We offer a wide variety of weekly classes in the evenings, mornings, and at lunchtime! Classes at MKMC are suitable for all levels and include guided meditations and practical teachings as well as opportunities to ask questions and discuss. Just drop-in!

Our weekend program includes beginners’ workshops, special one-time courses, and mini-retreats, all of which are ideal for making some headway into meditation and allowing us to delve deeper into different areas of Buddha’s teachings and meditations.

About Meditation

You don’t have to be a Buddhist to learn Buddhist meditation and find peace, positivity and joy in your life, whatever circumstances you find yourself in. Meditation means familiarizing ourself with positive and happy ways of thinking and overcoming negative habits of mind that cause unhappiness. Buddhist meditation is open to everybody who wants to learn it; it doesn’t belong to Buddhists. It resonates with a lot of people these days because it provides very practical methods for finding peace, happiness and meaning in the midst of busy modern daily life. It also provides practical and effective ways of helping others and dealing with many of the problems in the world today.

Halloween Meditation on Death

While it might sound scary to meditate on death according to Buddhist wisdom it is one of the most freeing and liberating contemplations we can engage in. Clear Sky Mind: Weekend Away Retreat

December 1-3

In this relaxing weekend retreat we will learn how to use meditation on the mind (known as Mahamudra meditation) to experience greater peace, clarity and well-being. Derived from the Buddhist Mahamudra tradition, the meditation on this retreat will lead you on a voyage of exploration of your mind through which you can discover your own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness.
